  •  Children will be stigmatized for life if they receive a psychiatric diagnosis
  •  Medications are habit forming
  •  Medications are used as a chemical �straight jacket� to control childhood behaviors
  •  Medications fix the problem and psychotherapy is not necessary
  • n Since many medications have not been researched for child use and does not have FDA approval there is no appropriate use of psychiatric medications with children
